Shoes...so cute!!!

I have to give a shout out to my sister for making the cutest shoes ever!!! Her and my mom have been busy making these stinkin' cute shoes and I have to share them with you. I PASSED !!!

It has been an emotional day. I had my first anxiety/panic attack once I found out that the results were in....that was not fun, especially since I was in a meeting. I had to anxiously sit through another 3.5 of meetings before I could go to school and find out the results. I have never been so anxious in all my life, and I was truly freaking out. I went to my school mailbox, opened the letter and read that I PASSED and started balling my eyes out. THANK YOU for all your thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time in my life. I am so gratelful for each of you. I appreciate all your support. I am truly blessed. I could not have done this without such supportive friends and family. I feel it was divine intervention that I passed that test!!! Only one test and one 12 page paper and then I am done. I will officially graduate in May!!!

HELL

The test was absolute HELL! I studied soooo hard and I mean sooo hard. Ive never studied harder for anything in my life. I had no idea what was going to be on the test. The only thing we were told was that a certain % of the test would be from one subject another % from another subject etc. So I studied everything I could. I spent all day Friday with my study group, slept good Friday night. Woke up a little nerveous on Sat, went out to breakfast with Zac and then drove to the test. I felt pretty good about taking the test being I spent so much time studying for it. I opened the test book read through the first 2 pages of questions and about had a heart attack! There was hardly anything on the test that I studied for.
I would say about 10% of the test is actually what I studied. I had 2 hours to take the test and I still had 12 questions left when I got the 5 minute warning. I was the second to last person to be done...and Im usually a pretty fast test taker. I could have died. About 30 min before the test was over my hands started shaking and I was sweating like a pig. There were sooo many questions wher I absolutely had no idea what the answer was. I honestly feel if I had not studied for the test I would have known the same amount of stuff. I was soooo frustrated when I left that test.

Im not just saying this but I DOUBT..actually I know I didnt pass. If I passed it is a true miracle from Heavenly Father because I did not know what I was doing. The good thing is I found out if I dont pass I can take an oral test in front a board who will decide whether or not I graduate. Crappy thing is that if I didnt pass I will have to spend a TON of more time studying for the oral test...I am so done with school. I was debating going back in the fall to take classes to become a nurse and after this test..no thanks. After the test I went out to lunch with my study group which was nice. I came home and Zac had a bouquet of flowers and a gift certificate for pedicure waiting at home for me an I broke down and cried. I couldn't sleep last night. I kept dreaming about the questions that I couldnt figure out the questions to. I woke up so many times in the middle of the night freaking out about the test. Zac said I was wimpering in my sleep (most likely dreaming about the freakin' test). So I cried off and on during the morning and I just feel sick. I feel worse today than yesterday and I dont know how I am going to wait for the results. I truly do not feel that I passed and I just want to get this over with. I still have 2 papers to write...a 6 page and 12 page paper and then a take home test and now most likely the oral test. I think I am going to have a nerveous breakdown. I keep telling everyone that I will be back to my old self in April but I think I wont be myself until I actually graduate...which hopefully I do.

I think Im crazy!!

This month has been absolutely crazy for me. I take my comprehensive exam on Saturday and I have been doing nothing but studying. I havent been spent time with my family,friends or with my hubby. I havent called any of my friends, blogged, done laundry, cleaned, etc. I didnt even spend Easter with my family!!! For all of you I have not called, emailed, text etc...I am sorry its just been crazy but it will all be over soon. I take my test and then I find out 2 weeks later if I passed or not. So it will be a long 2 weeks. I have felt like I am going crazy and I started reflecting on the last three years I have spent on getting this degree and this is what it boils down to

21 classes at $1050 a piece
$1500 for books that I will never use again
$70 cap & gown/hood
$40 announcements
$400 for licensure test...test I have to take after my comps to be licensed..which will be even harder than the comps test
1632 hours spent in class
countless hours writing papers, doing research, reading, studying etc
2 internships = 960 hours of free labor
= a possible $2500 annual income increase after graduation...Yep its true...OFFICIALLY NUTS!!! All this hard work for a whopping extra $2500 a year...Truly crazy!!!

House = Dog

I've wanted a dog for a long time but we have yet to get one. Zac isnt a big fan of dogs and we can never decide on one we both want. I love chocolate labs and Zac said when we get a "real" house we can get a chocolate lab!!! So of course Ive been looking at houses and we always run into the same problem...downsizing and $. I bought our townhouse 5 years ago. I had just graduated from ASU, was making 12.50 an hour, thought I was rich and bought a townhouse. I am so ready to move out but everytime we look at houses I realize that our mortage will almost triple what we pay now and that our house will be smaller. We have 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and all the houses we look at have 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms but at least they have backyards and garages. Hopefully we will be able to move into a "real" house this summer and then we can get our chocolate lab :) :)

Hospital here I come...

I've worked my butt off the last six and 1/2months and I finally finished my internship on Sunday. I worked 480 hours for free at the hospital. I havent had a weekend off in over 2 months but thats ok cuz my workin' for free days are over!!! Next week I will officially be a Banner employee. I will still be working my regular job and you are probably thinking I am crazy because..why work now that my internship is over...well hospital social work positions are very hard to come by and they had an open position for a weekend social worker so I jumped at the opportunity. Whats cool is that they are willing to hire me without my masters and I didnt have to go through the interview process...score! I am only required to work 2 weekend days per month but the money is good so I am going to try to work as much as I can. I figure I'm used to working a ton- so why not- especially since I am getting paid! My next goal is to find a full time job as a hospital social worker once I have my masters degree....but I still have to pass that darn test in March :)

18 MONTHS...today

Today is our 18 month anniversary and it has gone by sooo fast. This has truly been the best 18 months of my life. It has also been the craziest months of my life working so much and going to school but Zac makes it so much easier. I could not do it without him. He is the best and I love being married to him!
