Bitter - Sweet

I start school tomorrow and it is bitter sweet. Bitter because my schedule will be even crazier than it already is for the next few months. I have school at the end of the week which I dont like because I am more tired at the end of the week and its hard to work 10 hours a day then go to school after and pay attn...but Im getting used to it :) ....Starting school is also sweet because this is my last semester and then I will be done and I will have my MASTERS!!! I only have 15 more weeks of school and 8 weeks left of my internship. The fact that I will be done in a little less than four months is one of the things that is keeping me going. Another reason I am excited about graduating is because a few weeks later Zac and I are going on a Southern Caribbean cruise. I cant wait to see my hubby everyday and relax on the beach. Those are two of my favorite things! Heres some pictures of where we are going on our cruise :)

We start our trip spending the day in Puerto Rico - way excited to go to old San Juan and check out all the sites

Our next stop is St. Thomas

Then we are off to Dominica

Then to the beautiful beaches of Barabados

Next stop is St. Lucia for some fun and snorkeling

Then Antigua...which I am very excited about- always wanted to go there :)

Our last stop is St. Kitts which I have never heard of but the island looks gorgeous and very relaxing. After St. Kitts its back to Puerto Rico and then home. I will have to keep looking at this post to help me get through this last semester! Oh I forgot, all this hard work will mean absolutely NOTHING if I dont pass my comprehensive exam. Thats right, 3 long hard years all boils down to one exam...If I dont pass I dont get my degree.

My test is in March so wish me luck.

2008 Beater Night

Several of you have asked about the next Beater Night so heres the info. The next Beater Night is Feb 9, 2008 at Manzanita Speedway. Take the I-10 West to I-17 Truck Route to 7th Ave. exit.Make a left (South) 1 mile to Broadway, make a right (West), about 2.5 miles. On S.E. corner of 35th Ave. and Broadway. Its $10 for adults and kids are free under a certain age but I cant remember what age that is. I think the race starts at 7:30 or 8:00. Family

My sister Rachel was in town from Portland so we had all the family together for the holidays and for the twins blessing. It was so nice to have them all here. I have 10 nieces and nephews with one on the way! We managed to get a picture will all of the kiddos and it turned out pretty good :)

Flagstaff

Zac and I went to Flagstaff a few weeks ago because I finally had 2 days off!! Yep you read it correctly I had 2 days off in a row!! It was awesome. We drove up to Flagstaff on a Sunday drove around hung out and then went sledding the next day. I hadnt been sledding since I was a kid and it was tons of fun. We went flying down the hills and there were a few times I thought for sure one of us was going to break one of our bones but all went well :)

Beater Night

When Zac and I were dating he took me to the Manzanita Raceway in Laveen and I fell in love with Beater Night. Its actually called Bomber Enduro night but I like to call it Beater Night. There are 65 beat up cars anwho do 150 laps around the racetrack. They crash into each other, wheels fall off, hoods fly up, cars start on fire, fuel spills..its a lot of fun. They do it 2x a year and we go each time. We started a Scanlan family tradition and we go as a family once a year. Zac and I love it because we try to find white trash t-shirts and wear them so we fit in with everyone who is there. I loved the shirt Zac picked out!!! I highly recommend Beather night to anyone interested :)

Still Alive

Im still alive just been crazy busy. I have several things to post and I hope to get them all posted by this weekend :)

Christmas Spirit?

Last year I bought all new Christmas tree decorations. I got them all 50% and I was so excited at the time, that I was telling Zac how I couldnt wait for Christmas to decorate. Well its that time of year to get tree and all the decorations out and I have NO DESIRE to put up the tree, to decorate the house or the tree, to bake or to shop. This is not like me. I usually have most my shopping done by Thanksgiving but not this year. Ive decided for sure that I am not going to decorate the house and I told Zac yesterday that I dont want to put the tree up. I think its because I have 4 days off a month all of which are Sunday and its hard to get things done on Sunday and still keep the sabath day holy so I dont get a lot done. Is it bad if I dont put the tree up??? Am I being a total grinch????
