Christmas Spirit?
Last year I bought all new Christmas tree decorations. I got them all 50% and I was so excited at the time, that I was telling Zac how I couldnt wait for Christmas to decorate. Well its that time of year to get tree and all the decorations out and I have NO DESIRE to put up the tree, to decorate the house or the tree, to bake or to shop. This is not like me. I usually have most my shopping done by Thanksgiving but not this year. Ive decided for sure that I am not going to decorate the house and I told Zac yesterday that I dont want to put the tree up. I think its because I have 4 days off a month all of which are Sunday and its hard to get things done on Sunday and still keep the sabath day holy so I dont get a lot done. Is it bad if I dont put the tree up??? Am I being a total grinch????

ahhhh! i think if you aren't into it and it will cause you more stress let it go. maybe Zac would wanna do it all by himself? but really if you are celebrating Christmas morning at someone else's house forget it. otherwise where are you gonna put your presents? we didn't put up a tree a couple years because we still went to my moms on Christmas morning.
Last year i was super bah humbug and finally my kids put candy canes all over and we called it good. whatever works for you. don't let anyone push you around you are over the top busy this year. and if it makes you feel better i understand how that goes.
NO! You are soooooooooooooooo busy Tia...holy cow, take a break chick-a-dee! Zac needs to surprise you one day when you come home from work with all of the decorations up and tree included...tell ZAC he needs to read this post (with the comments) HINT HINT HINT to Zac!:P

NO! I completely agree with Melody, of course. Do what you want...there will be plenty of Christmases to decorate, etc...

Girl, are you kidding? If I were in your shoes I'd so not be in the spirit to decorate either! Plus you can get away with it moreso because you don't have little kids that expect/want it. Don't sweat it! You are a busy busy busy bee! And I agree, if Zac really wants it decorated he will start on it himself! Time is an issue and you don't have much of it. I love ya! I wish you didn't have to be so dang busy!
you are so funny! i have kids and most christmas' i still don't want to do the whole tree thing...i wouldn't worry about it if i were you! it is alot of effort for only a short period of time. :)
who needs a tree? i am glad you finally posted, i was getting worried about you.
We didn't put up anything last year. I dont see the point in adding one more thing to do during this busy time of year. The ONLY reason why we have a tree this year is because Ryan insisted. So, either we are both scrooges or just practical :-) I prefer to think practical
Kenyon's right, Christmas spirit should be in your heart, not in your decor. If I am gonna see you before then, I'll let you borrow one of my tiny little trees that you could throw some lights on and call it good. If it bothers Zac, I'm sure he could do the decorating.
i totally understand. don't cause yourself more stress. i tried to do that one year, but unfortunately i had small kids who were begging for a tree so cmas eve day we were out trying to find a stupid tree and decorate it, not the best year.

Cute blog- you are not a grinch, it is hard to get into the spirit when time goes by so quickly. It feels like I just graduated high school and here it is 11 yrs later. Maybe it should snow in Mesa and then you'll be in the spirit. Ha ha
No tree for you!! And that's ok, no worries, we don't have a tree down in the basement,haha, there is always next year. I love the new blog backround. Very cute!!
