July 4th

For July 4th we hung out with my whole family in Showlow. We went to the same cabin we did last year. Zac and I have been up to Showlow for the past 3 years around the 4th so we took our traditional pic...same one we used for our wedding announcements. We stayed in a cabin/lodge. Thanks to my older bro, a guy he works worth let us stay in the rather large and super nice cabin.

It rained one of the days we were there. It was so nice to see the rain and be in the cold. The kids loved it too!

Quinn wasnt feeling so good on the trip. He was a trooper though.

Bailey is always smiling and she was loving it there too!

Ellie also enjoyed herself and watched everything around her. We had lots of fun and we hope to be able to go up again next year. Ya I know the post is way past due!

To all you photo shop lovers out there I need your help. I've decided to buy photo shop but I dont know which type etc to buy so any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks

New Job

I got a new job!! I had not been liking my job for almost a year and I dreded going everyday. I loved the people I worked with but there was a ton of changes and it just wasnt a happy place to be. Before I graduated with my MSW I started applying for a full time job as a hospital social worker but had no luck due to not having 3 years experience. I was getting really frustrated. I then applied for a job with my same agency and I got it :) It came with a nice raise, 15 miles closer to home, less drama and I get to keep all my vacation time, sick time etc. I am still a manager and have 5 staff. This program focuses on working with families who are at risk for child abuse so this job has new challenges which I am exicited for. Im still working at the hospital every other weekend which I enjoy. I feel so much LESS stress with my new job and its so nice to not have to work from home at night after I get home. I get to spend lots of time with Zac which is what I love to do since I barely got to see him when I was in graduate school :)

Cruise!!!!

Well its been awhile so here are pictures of the cruise!! We went to Puerto Rico, St Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua & St. Kitts. We took a redeye flight to Puerto Rico so we were very tired but once we got there we found the energy to make it through. We walked around the streets and then toured one of the Forts, it was amazing.

Zac and I have an addiction to Dr. Pepper so we were so excited when we found some...we should have bought more!

We boarded the ship later that day, walked around the ship, found the 24 hour icecream dispenser and we were in heaven. The next day we had a snorkeling excursion scheduled and Zac was excited because he had never been snorkeling before. Snorkeling was set for 12:30 and due to the time change and us being exhausted we accidently slept in until 11.We didnt get to see much of the island but had fun in the water. The funniest part of the snorkeling was when Zac told me he wasnt feeling well and that he threw up a little bit..Im thinking ok no biggie, then he tells me to move away and he throws up several times. Up until this point I had never seen him throw up, and I felt bad cuz he was throwing up and trying to keep his head above water. Im sure the fish enjoyed a good meal, cuz they all came swimming up to him after that.After we got back we only had a few minutes to walk around before we had to be back on the ship.

We then went to Dominica. We went on a tour to the rainforest and national parks...really cool but we had a really scary driver.This was the most scenic island we went to.We also found out that Pirates of the Carribean was filmed on the island.

The next day we went to Barbados. We went kayaking and snorkeling with turtles. The turtles were huge! It was really cool to see them so close. Ill post my underwater pics later so you can see the turtles. After kayaking and snorkeling we walked around Barbados.

Then we went to St. Lucia and we spent the day at the beach being hounded by people who wanted to sell us things and by Chris Rock want to be's.They tried so hard to find common ground with us so they could sell us something but we didnt give in.

Antigua was my favorite island. The people there were sooo nice and friendly and we found Dr.Pepper there too. As we were walking around I saw a sign that looked familiar and so I stopped to take a closer look and it was the location of a LDS branch...pretty cool. If it was Sunday we would have totally gone!

Our last day of the cruise was St.Kitts. We did lots of walking and shopping while we were there. This too was a cool island! The tree you see me standing by is the Carribean's Christmas tree:)

We were supposed to be home from our cruise on a Sunday...but that didnt happen. We were all supposed to be off the ship by 11:30am but Immigrations computers were down, so we missed our flight out of Puerto Rico by about 5 minutes.... which totally sucked. We flew into North Carolina and had to spend the night in the airport..NOT FUN!!! So here I am desperately trying to sleep on the floor of the airport!!
