Washer & Dryer..YEAH

I have been using the same washer and dryer for the last 20 years...YES 20 years. My family moved here in 1987 and purchased a used washer and dryer. I still remember the day my mom taught me to do the laundry and which buttons to push. I moved out in 2002 and my parents graciously gave me the washer and dryer. Zac, my wonderful husband, does most all of the laundry, among several other things around the house. He has been complaining about the washer not washing his clothes right, putting fuzz balls on his shirts, he has found holes in his shirts etc. My clothes, not a problem. So we went looking for a front loader washing machine and we found one we liked at Spencers. I was telling my bro in law Greg about them and his friend happens to know the General Manager of Spencers & he said he could get us a deal. So rather than getting just a washer we also got a dryer. We were going to hold off on the dryer so we could go to Portland but if we bought both we would save almost $300, so here is a picture of our savings account...I mean washer and dryer. I have to admit I do love them, they work way better than the old one and whites really do seem whiter and the clothes dry so much nicer.

Ohhh, I am jealous! We are "wating until we move" like all our big purchases, so I had to settle for the old craiglist bargin. I love it! Who would of thought we would get so excited over appliances?!

Love your saving account! Ok I seriously need a new one. We have been getting little tiny holes in our clothes, too! I haven't been able to justify buying new ones because they aren't really broken, but now that I have proof from you that it is the washer creating the holes, and not something else, I can talk Luvpilot into getting new. Of course, he'll probably tell me to get a job.

Congratulations!! Sounds like it was much needed. We were given a mattress when we got married that was awful, but we were poor and couldn't afford a new one. About 4 yrs ago we decided we were buying a new, so we go into some mattress store and the guy working there decides to give us this old coupon from a few months before so we got this brand new mattress plus the box springs and frame for $600 bucks. To this day it is my very favorite purchase!!!
